YOU REALLY NEED TO SAY THIS EVERYDAY...

Just gotta share something with ya today. Ya'll know I talk about Shawn like a lot, but today he asked me why I care about him so much and that he wasn't that important..YIKES!!!

Ummmm NO! Hold up buddy... Let's talk!

I told him he was my #1 priority in life that my job as a mom is to protect, love, and show him how to do this thing called life.

I said I will always be by your side and help and teach you in anyway I can. I want to teach you about faith and how God will be there for you every step of the way too.

I said just like when you were born with clubfeet, it didn't matter... Whatever you needed we took care of it... Surgery, casts, bar, braces, AFO's, stretching... All of it... because we want you to have a life where you could walk and run with ease.

That is our jobs as parents Shawn... We keep you safe foremost and guide you to make healthy, positive choices in hopes of giving you your best life.

You are my best blessing little man... I can't picture a life without you... You are truly my bundle of joy!! 

I explained not all parents are like this, but they should be... They take their kids for granted and don't show them love, give them safety, and honestly...some can be evil. (I am and always will be brutally honest with him... He needs to know the good and bad of the world - sorry if you don't agree, but I can't let him be blindsided if something terrible came his way and I did not do my part).

He just smiled and said, "Wow mommy... You really do love me don't you?" ... I said "Buddy with everything I got and more!!" 💯 💜

Keep in mind, I tell him every single day I love him... But sometimes he needs to hear WHY...

This world will get in his head and try to make him feel less than... Our jobs as parents is to build them with confidence so they can walk proudly as an adult... That is the life I was given and I definitely want that for Shawn.💜💯💯💜

So squeeze your child, tell them you love them, and WHY you love them to make them see they are worthy & valuable, and you can guarantee they will stand stronger in life.
