YOU NEED TO TELL YOURSELF...

Some tough love today on this post!

You need to tell yourself ONE THING to push yourself forward and it is…

No one is coming to….

  • Give you energy to show up for a workout…ONLY YOU can stand up and physically get moving!

  • Fuel your body…ONLY YOU can put the fork to your face and eat it! What you put on that fork will either propel you to the next level or hold you back. Every action is a decision and it compounds over time so it takes more days of being on top of your nutrition than not to see results! #justbeingreal

  • Give you motivation!! Sooooo many say I don’t have the motivation to do what you do. Seriously? You think I have it all the time? No…that crap comes and goes and stays gone longer than you think! It is through my determination I show up every day for myself!

  • To lift your spirits when you are facing something emotionally. Sure you can talk to a spouse or a therapist but will you take the advice given and pull yourself out of the constant anxiety spells, triggers, and be proactive in moving forward or are you going to BLAME lack of energy and excuses and remain the same forever? Remember tools are given but will you USE THEM or just sit in front of the TV all day!

  • Fill your mind with positive information! So much negative on the news and in others words!! You can let it either destroy you or you can read books and listen to content that will make you feel unstoppable and empowered! That is how I choose to go about my day - One personal development book each month! My top three picks - The Power of I Am by Joel Osteen, The High Five Habit by Mel Robbins, and the Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. Start with those and tell me how it changes your thinking!

  • Fix your attitude!! So many have the wrong perspective when it comes to taking care of themselves and believe me, I have heard it all. For example:

    • I like being a slug because it is comfortable.

    • I don’t deserve to be healthy and fit because I am what I am and there is no changing me!

    • I am going to die anyway…might as well eat all the junk food and “ENJOY” life.

    • It is so much easier to stay in bed.

    • Being healthy is an obsession and that is weird and unhealthy.

  • I am going to break it down for you on those because my mind is BOGGLED by them!

    • I like being the slug one - Umm you are afraid of failure so you choose to remain the same even though you aren’t happy and know you have to do something about your health!

    • I don’t deserve it - You don’t see your value and the worth you have in this world - God doesn’t make mistakes - you have a PURPOSE to fill and one that is amazing! How would you feel if your kids or your spouse said this about themselves? Pretty heartbreaking uh? So stop saying it about yourself!

    • I am going to die anyway so I am going to “ENJOY” the bad stuff NOW - This my friend is where you got completely the wrong perspective…It is about the QUALITY OF LIFE ….I have seen so many morbid obese people in my days that miss out on the little things in their children’s lives because they couldn’t participate, get around, and just felt horrible - physically. They have regrets!!! They aren’t enjoying anything! They aren’t comfortable…they have no energy, and they tell these LIES to self sabotage. Trust me….they are better than that! Whether you want to believe it or not. You have people in your life that CARE deeply for you…be here for them.

    • It is so much easier to stay in bed - Well ok then…you CAN NOT complain about the health you have today then…You apparently like where you are and don’t need to fix anything - I can’t wait to get to that level!! But wait…you say you aren’t happy?? OHHHH Then it is a HABIT and an EXCUSE that you have created over the years to stay in bed and do nothing at all. Seriously…get yourself the HIGH FIVE HABIT book and change your life! Let me add this…there is this whole body positivity movement going on and it is ok but there is also something I am not a fan of…you can love the skin your in now and still work on YOU. Healthy comes from within and how you feel and how your quality of life is. It isn’t just a certain weight or the size of your jeans. It is TRUE HEALTH that you need to be good with, but YES LOVE every stage of your life and your body but still work towards on being healthy for YOU!! That is more positive than ACCEPTING bad health and flaunting it! There is a difference!

    • Being healthy is an unhealthy obsession - I chuckle at this….like by a lot because people really have unhealthy habits like smoking, eating tons of junk food like I did before, and using drugs but working on bettering yourself is unhealthy? I call BS and an excuse to give yourself an OUT to do nothing! You tell yourself it is better this way but it is a LIE deep within. I have seen this on several of my older ladies who put self limiting beliefs on themselves and they never pursue anything because of FEAR. So yeah I see you holding yourself back and trust me…You can do better too! No doctor has ever said stay in bed all day and do nothing when you can physically get up and move your body! Just saying! These lies don’t serve you or your future health!

When I was ready to get started it was because of a health scare! Please don’t wait like I did! Trust me, excuses, lack of motivation, and just not feeling it - will always be there!

But you got to remember - NO ONE IS GOING TO COME AND MAKE YOU DO ANYTHING!

YOU GOT TO TAKE THAT FIRST STEP YOURSELF!

These are the things I needed to hear during my journey…I was stubborn and hard headed! LOL So yup these perspectives helped me a ton!!
